Discover Our Farm

Nestled in the beautiful Northeast Kingdom of Vermont, Ledgenear Farm is a hilltop homestead with roots stretching back to the 1850s. For generations, this hardscrabble but beautiful land has provided for families through field crops, sheep herding, dairy farming, and the timeless art of certified organic maple syrup production.

About  Ledgenear

Today, the Coe family continues this proud legacy with sustainable farming practices and an unwavering commitment to quality. James, who was born and raised on this very farm, has returned with his wife Nella and children Isabella and Jude to pursue a sustainable agrarian future for the land. After a dozen years operating an architecture firm in Portland, Oregon, they've come home to restore the old sugar house, tend the maple woods, and share the farm's bounty with visitors from near and far.

"This place was amazing. The mountains views were just breathtaking and the green pastures really make this place something out of a movie.  My favorite thing was getting woken up by cow moos in the morning. I highly recommend walking around and visiting the neighboring farms.  I will definitely be coming back next year."

"James and Nella's cottage is in an awesome spot – private access to the lake beach and a gorgeous backyard. Pro tip: we pre-ordered eggs and beef from their local farm, and they were waiting for us when we arrived – so handy and really top-notch quality."
